Coach of the Year Dylan Thombs, Yarmouth Nordic A 1st head coach, Thombs helped continue a transition following the retirement of legendary Clippers mentor Bob Morse. The Yarmouth girls won their third consecutive state championship.in the highly-competitive Class B state meet.

Distance Learning begins tomorrow at YHS. Please see this link http://bit.ly/2wg2DrJ for schedule of learning activities. Schedule starts at 9 am, students will NOT be expected to spend the entire day on laptops. Students end the day with online meetings in advisory groups.

9th graders Macy Gilroy, Alex Ericson, Nori Schneider represented YHS at Maine’s southern regional National History Day in Lewiston today. The girls were finalists and are therefore invited to the state-wide competition in Orono on May 2!


The following students will be traveling to VT to represent the state of Maine in the New England Nordic Ski Association U16 festival where they will compete against other New England states and New York.

Grade 9 students Alex Ericson, Nori Schneider and Macy Gilroy will be attending the National History Day regional competition in Lewiston on Friday, March 6. They are working up an exhibit about the 1919/1920 Spanish Flu Epidemic in Maine. #yhslearns

Junior Ashley Allen will have her Photograph, "Spurwink Farm" hang at the Portland Museum of Art during March for the national celebration of Youth Art Month. The ceremony at 6:30 on Saturday, March 7th.


Congratulations to Junior Amelia Watt will have her plexiglass etching of a frog on display for most of 2020 at the MEA offices in Augusta, with a Youth Art Month celebration Opening on Sunday, March 8th, from 1-2:30pm. #yhslearns
