The Day of Hope was hosted this past Saturday at Yarmouth High School, and along with the Interact Club selling concessions, raised $1,200 dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Maine. The event consisted of six Maine leaders- Dick Woodbury, Robin Alden, Patrick Arnold, Abdi Iftin, Alexa Craig, and Yarmouth High school student Jared Conant- speaking about hope and how they use hope for good to over 200 attendees. The event was 100% student organized and overseen by Ms. Brookes, a history teacher at YHS, and will continue next year under the care of current juniors Jane Fulton and Thomas Kuhn. Videos of each speech will be posted online at the website www.dayofhopemaine.com for those who wish to be inspired but could not make it Saturday!
