Quarter 4 Progress Reports

We have nearly reached the midpoint of the fourth quarter, and progress reports will be available on PowerSchool this Wednesday, May 4.  Grades will be updated, and teachers will provide you with an update of your student’s progress at this point in the school year, if they have any concerns.   Please feel free to reach out to your student’s teachers with any questions or concerns.

Wednesday, May 4, is Walk and Bike to School Day!
From Yarmouth's Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee:  This is a great time for those who might be thinking about walking or biking to school to try it out, while also celebrating the environmental and health benefits of walking and biking. Yarmouth's extensive network of sidewalks and paths provide safe routes for people of all ages to walk or bike. The Yarmouth Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee has provided the following tips and resources for biking and walking to school:

  • Go in groups. It's easier, safer and more fun to ride or walk to school in a group. You might want to consider organizing a Bike Train with other families in your neighborhood.
  • Plan your route. Stick to sidewalks, quiet streets, and pathways whenever possible even if it adds a couple extra minutes.
  • Be safe! If you are driving, always yield to children and adults in the crosswalk, slow down, and give people on bikes plenty of space. The Bicycle Coalition of Maine also has some great educational materials and a video on bike safety basics, and there are safety tips on the town's website.

A volunteer from Yarmouth's Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee will be outside the school from 8:15 to 8:45 on May 4 to hand out bike safety materials to students, thank them for biking and walking, and answer any questions they might have.

Prom 2022 “A Night on the Red Carpet”
We are excited to be hosting our first school dance in well over two years!  Our junior/senior prom will be held from 8:00 to 11:00 on Saturday, May 14, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport. All prom guests must arrive by 9:00 and are not permitted to re-enter after leaving.  Also, per our district’s policy, breathalyzers may be used by administration to minimize the risk of alcohol use by students.  Should students wish to bring a guest from another district, a guest permission form must be filled out and turned into the main office by Thursday, May 12. Tickets are $40 each and are on sale for the next two weeks during lunches and breaks.  Contact Emily Davison or Chris Hill, Class of 2023 advisors, for more information.
