Speech & Debate ⇒ The final Speech & Debate in-state competition took place on Saturday, March 26. Once again, YHS participants put in some amazing performances:

- Hope Cady is the 1st alternate for US Extemporaneous Debate AND the 2nd alternate for Original Oratory!
- Georgia Herr is the 3rd alternate for Original Oratory! Thanks to her performance in the Congressional Qualifiers three weeks ago, she is now a top alternate in two events as well.
- Maddy Corson is the Student of the Year for the Maine District (an award that covers ALL Speech & Debate events — not just Congressional)!
- And Coach John Russell was named Coach of the Year for the Maine District.
April Break ⇒ And finally, April Vacation is fast approaching! There will be no school from Friday, April 15, through Sunday, April 24. We hope you have family plans for whatever will recharge your batteries and get you ready for the last stretch of the school year!
