Dear Parents and Guardians,

In the world of theater and the arts, celebrations abound in the first week of March, as the Yarmouth Playmakers took first place in this weekend’s regional competition and now head to States.  Additionally, two YHS juniors have been recognized for their artwork which will be displayed at the Portland Museum of Art during March for the national celebration of Youth Art Month; Lilia Geguchadze for her charcoal self-portrait and  Ashley Allen for her Photograph, "Spurwink Farm." Finally, junior Amelia Watt will have her plexiglass etching of a frog on display at the MEA offices in Augusta.

As we look to the week ahead, please take a few moments to review the upcoming events.

Spring Sports Information Night will be held Monday, March 9th at 6:00 pm. Please join your child in learning more about the upcoming season from our spring coaches.

Thrift Shop - The YHS Green Voices Society is collecting clothing this week, with the goal of holding a “thrift store” in April to help distribute recycled clothing to those in need. Please feel free to drop off clothing this week during registration conferences in the Main Office at the high school!

Registration Conferences -  March 11th and March 12th.  Prior to the registration conferences, please take time to review the Course of Studies (link here) with your child, as it provides you with valuable academic information to make decisions based on your child’s interests, strengths, and needs in order to sign up for classes next year.
