Community Service Opportunity - Clam Festival The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers to help at their booth at Clam Festival in July! Community service hours will be awarded. They are looking for someone who is organized, follows directions, and has a great attitude. If you are interested, please contact Chelsie DiConzo at 846-3984 or info@yarmouthmaine.org. Thank you!

Students - remember to clean out your school locker before you leave for summer break. Custodians will empty out lockers the day school ends.

Clean out your Locker before you leave for the school year Remember to clean out your school locker before you leave for summer vacation. Global Action is collecting gently used and new school supplies to help refuge and immigrant children in the greater Portland area. Pens, pencils, binders, paper, notebooks, sports equipment, rulers, calculators, scissors, backpacks and book bags. There is a collection box in the main office. Thank you.

Painters Wanted: Community Service Opportunity for Clam Festival As the advisor for the YHS INTERACT CLUB, I have been asked to organize a group of students to "whitewash" the booths for Clam Festival. Every year, 12 students are needed to paint the food booths. This will happen on Monday, July 11th from 9:00 a.m. to about noon, and you will receive community service hours for helping out. Interact is a service club connected with Rotary. Rotary Clubs exist all over the world, and they define themselves as "neighbors, friends, and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world." As the high school branch of Rotary, Interact Clubs carry out service projects on both a local and a global scale. Helping out with Clam Festival is just one of the projects we do each year. You don't need to be a member of Interact to volunteer. I can only take 12 students. Please let me know if you would like to sign up to do this! --Mrs. Walsh

Will you use a locker next year? Hi Everyone, In anticipation of a shortage of lockers for next year depending on the number of new students that register over the summer, I'm hoping to have a go-to list of lockers that definitely will not be used next school year. If you do not not use your locker, or have no intention of using your locker next year, can you please respond to this email? Thank you! ~Mrs. O'Brien

Maine Youth Court - Community Service Opportunity Maine Youth Court is looking for year-round volunteers as well as participation in their Annual Summit on August 9th. Youth Court "is a program that allows young people who have violated the law to be held accountable by their peers. Trained youth community volunteers act as advocates and judges using the restorative justice framework to create an agreement for all." Volunteer training sessions begin July 18th at Greely High School. Please see the attached flyers for more information and/or visit http://www.maineyouthcourt.org/
