Get your prom tickets!!! Hi Everyone! The Junior Class is selling prom tickets throughout the next two weeks at first and second lunch outside the cafeteria starting tomorrow. Tickets are $30 each and the first 100 people to buy tickets will be put into a raffle and we will draw one lucky winner who will get their money back and essentially have free tickets! So buy early! If you plan to bring a person to prom who is not from YHS we will also have forms at the table for you and your friend to fill about so they can come. We cannot sell you tickets until the form is completed. Prom is going to be amazing so get your tickets in the next two weeks! ~The Junior Class


"Alive" performance - 5/18 @ 7:00 pm - YPAC On May 18th at 7:00PM in the Yarmouth Performing Arts Center, Karl Munroe and Amelia French will be presenting a staged reading of their original musical, ‘Alive’ with music by Karl Munroe and book by Amelia French. The musical centers around a grieving family, specifically the daughter Ava, and follows their complex and sometimes messy coping process as well as the journey one takes to discover who he or she is. ‘Alive’ features performances by Andrea Hincks, Conner Pearl, Mikayla Clifford, Colin Prato, Nick Prato, and Karl Munroe with instrumentalists Ben McNaboe, Ava Seid, Abby Van Lonkhuyzen, Nico Whitlock, Ben Slayton, and Ethan Hunt.


Cinderella auditions! Monday, May 23 Yarmouth Performing Arts Center 6:00 - 9:00 Please be prepared to sing a song from Cinderella You may sing in small groups of 2-3 people if you do not want to be considered for a solo part The "Auditions Sides" are available for you to prepare for the reading portion of the audition. Congratulations to the Sailing Team Congratulations to the Yarmouth Sailing Team for winning their 4th consecutive Maine State Championship! The Downeast Regatta was hosted by Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, ME. The two day regatta had all sorts of weather and wind, but the team clinched the trophy with a win in the final race. Seventeen teams from public and private high schools in Maine, Vermont, and MA competed in 16 races over two days. Sailors who competed this weekend were Ethan Merrill, Teo Scott, Ben Palmer, Isabella Pardales, Emi Parker, and Anna Parker. Go Clippers!


Job Opportunity We are looking for a couple hosts/bussers at Bistro 233. Interested candidates should be 16+ and be available 2-3 evenings a week. The hours are from 5pm-9pm (sometimes earlier then 9pm). Pay is $8/hr plus tips. They can come in and speak with Amanda or Sam, fill out an app or drop a resume.

Softball- #7 in Heals. 5-2 Record The softball team earned a nice win over Wells last night 11-6. The team plays @Sacopee on Wednesday and welcomes York on Friday in a heal point rich game at 4:00, Falmouth awaits on Monday at home 4:00. Boys Lacrosse- #4 in Heals 2-3 Record The boys lacrosse team has battled Cape, Falmouth and Brunswick 2 of the 3 defending State Championship teams early in the season. The boys are playing well and will surely make their traditional deep playoff run. The team plays @ NYA this afternoon 4:00 and @ Scarborough on Saturday 12:30. The team's next home game is Tuesday the 17th vs. Lake Region 4:00. Girls Lacrosse- #3 in Heals. 3-1 Record The Girls lacrosse team had some great wins the last few weeks. Boys Tennis- # 6 in Heals. 2-3 Record The Boys tennis team is competing well so far the team travels to Freeport tomorrow at 3:30 and hosts cross town rival Falmouth on Friday at 3:30. Girls Tennis- #1 in heals 4-1 Record The girls tennis team is having a great season thus far #1 in the heals! The girls host Freeport tomorrow 3:30 and travel to cross town rival Falmouth on Friday 3:30. Boys Outdoor Track- 4/29/16 3:30 PM Freeport 43, Mountain Valley 48, Traip Academy 73, Yarmouth 49, at Fryeburg Academy 111 Results 5/6/16 3:30 PM Gray-New Gloucester 44.5, York 108.5, at Yarmouth 43 Girls Outdoor Track- 4/29/16 3:30 PM Freeport 59, Mountain Valley 85, Traip Academy 92, Yarmouth 66, at Fryeburg Academy 47 Results 5/6/16 3:30 PM Gray-New Gloucester 96, Waynflete 4, York 104, at Yarmouth 51 Our Track Teams are doing well 2 meets in. Yarmouth hosted GNG, Waynflete, and York last Friday and several athletes broke school records or earned personal records at the meet. Emma Egan jumped 5'6 a personal best in outdoor and a State Record for high jump! Abby Hamilton broke a school record in the 2 mile run with a state leading time of 11:19.65 Anneka Murrin broke a school record in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:21.08 Taj Garvey broke a school record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.92 The track team's next meet is Friday @ Poland 3:30. I encourage you all to come out and support our Spring athletes we have a talented group and look forward to a strong ending for our teams! GO CLIPPERS!
