Join the Civil Rights team!!! Good morning YHS! We are so excited to announce the commencement of the Civil Rights Team here at YHS, and we are more than excited to share this opportunity with all of you. Our Civil Rights Team aims to eliminate biased based behaviors at YHS, whether this be issues of race, religion, disabilities, gender/gender identity, sexuality, national origin, or ethnicity. We hope to bring awareness, discussion, and education about current civil rights issues in our school, community, state, country, and world, and we know that our Civil Rights Team will thrive at YHS! Meetings of the Civil Rights Team will be bi-weekly and will be held after school. We would love to meet with any of you who are potentially interested in joining our team. So, our first meeting will be held next Thursday, 4/6, in Mrs. Johansen’s room. If you are interested in joining the team, please respond to this email, and to those of you who respond, we will send out more details on the first meeting soon. We are SO excited! - Claire and Ben
