Community Service Opportunity The American Heart Association is hosting a 10K race on April 3rd in Portland and is in need of volunteers from 6:30am until around 11am. Volunteers will gather at the Ocean Gateway Terminal in the Old Port. If you are interested in earning community service hours for this event, please contact Meredith McNeil at 207-289-2384 or meredith.mcneil@heart.org.


Power of One - food drive We may not think about it every day, but hunger does effect people in our community. As many as 79 families use the Yarmouth Food Pantry. That translates to about 200 people. Just a reminder that tomorrow is the first day to bring in donations for the Simms Power of One Food drive. Here is the list of recommended food items to bring in : - canned soups - canned vegetables - canned tuna - spaghetti sauce - pasta - pancake mix - nuts - dried fruits - juice Again, please bring in your donations to your advisor. National School Breakfast week Did you know that kids who eat breakfast perform better in school, have improved attention, memory, concentration and feel more alert and energized? We all know how busy mornings can be. If you’re finding yourself crunched for time, why not leave breakfast to us? We offer whole grain muffins, fruit smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, parfaits, oatmeal, fresh fruit and milk everyday. And special for you next week we will also have whole grain yeast donuts and hot chocolate! Come on by, bring a friend and let us give you some home cookin' we know you'll love. If you want to have a physical here at school, pick up a tan form in the main office and you and your parent complete the form and turn it back into me by Monday, March 21st.
