Semi-formal - Friday, December 16th This year's Sophomore Class Council is super excited to announce that the Semi-formal dance theme for 2016 will be Atlantis! $10 a ticket It will be held on Friday, December 16th and, as always, the dress code will be semi formal (obviously). It's going to be in the cafeteria from 7-10.
The Global Action Club is holding a clothing drive The Global Action Club will be holding a clothing drive from now until December 15. A donation bin will be located in the main office. Please consider donating clothing in good condition. Summer-weight clothing (t-shirts, shorts, pants, sandals) will be donated to an organization helping those affected by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti. Winter clothing (hats, boots, coats, sweaters, pants) will be donated to Catholic Charities, which currently is resettling Syrian refugee families in the greater Portland area. Portland Jazz Orchestra concert - 12/4 Portland Jazz Orchestra is performing at YPAC on December 4 at 2 P.M. sponsored by the Yarmouth Music Boosters. This is a free holiday concert with a suggested donation of $10. The Orchestra will be performing some music from the Nutcracker.
Unified Basketball sign up YHS Students, The Unified Basketball Season is just around the corner! An informational meeting for all student-athletes and partners will take place on Monday, December 19th 6:00 p.m. in the Flex room. If you are interested in playing please plan to attend. Additionally, it will be important to update your selection on Powerschool to "Unified Basketball" prior to the meeting. The season begins January 12th and runs through March 15th. We plan for 3 days of basketball which works out to 2 practices 3:00-4:00 a week and one game. Please utilize the link below to sign up for the team so we know in advance of the meeting how many students are interested. I have attached the MPA bulletin to this e-mail so that you can familiarize yourself with the rules. Unified basketball is a great sport and I highly recommend your participation!
