Homecoming Dance - Saturday 9/24 The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, 8:00-10:00 pm here at YHS. The cost is $5.00. If you wish to bring a guest that does not attend Yarmouth High School, pick up a guest form in the main office and have it completed and turned in by 2:30 on Friday.

Club Fair - coming up next week Hello Students of YHS! Next Tuesday, September 27th we will be holding Club Fair here at YHS. The Club Fair is an exhibition of a wide variety of our school's clubs and organizations. Each club will be designated a table run by the club leader. The table and club leader(s) will offer information about the club as well as a sign up sheet to get involved. There are many clubs ranging from Outing Club to Computer Design Club. Joining a club is a great way to make friends and get involved in your school community. We look forward to seeing you there! -YHS Student Senate
Car Wash - this Sunday, 9/25 - Support Field Hockey!! CAR WASH rescheduled to Sunday, 9/25 10 AM - 2 PM - The Yarmouth Field Hockey Team is holding a car wash this Sunday, September 25th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Hancock Lumber parking lot on Main Street in Yarmouth. Donations accepted. All proceeds go to the Yarmouth Field Hockey Boosters to support the team. Come get your car washed this Sunday!
What type of food should you bring in for the Spirit Challenge? In the wake of the recent economic crisis more people are hungry than ever before. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service (USDA) reported in September 2016 that 42 million Americans, including over 13 million children are food insecure. A person is considered food insecure if they lack access to enough food to ensure adequate nutrition. The USDA estimates that 15.8 percent of Maine households, or more than 209,000 individuals, are food insecure. The number of Mainers who are food insecure decreased slightly from 2014 to 2015, but our rank compared to other states slipped. Maine now ranks 9th in the nation and 1st in New England for food insecurity. What Food should you bring in? Meals in a can (stew, chili, soup) Tuna and canned meat. Peanut butter. Canned foods with pop-top lids. Low-sugar cereals. 100% fruit juices in single serving boxes. Canned fruit packed in juice. Canned vegetables (low salt) Pop-top tuna 100% fruit rolls Raisins Graham crackers Unsweetened applesauce Cheese and crackers Fruit cups Pretzels Granola bars (without peanuts)

Are you aware of the opportunity for you to audition for Maine Music Educators Association District 2 Honors Orchestra? Auditions are Oct. 20 in Portland. Festival is Jan. 20-21 in Norway, ME. Sign up on the list on the clipboard in the Music Room 2. Turn in the TWO signed forms found at the 2nd link above 3.
