Community Service Opportunity Right after school ends (June 26th-30th, 9:00-1:30), I run a Young Authors Camp right here in town at the Yarmouth History Center. We have about twenty kids, both boys and girls, in grades 3 through 7. If you are interested in volunteering at a camp like this, please come and see me, and I can tell you about what kind of work you will be doing. The camp is run by a non-profit group called the Southern Maine Writing Project which means that your time will count as community service hours. Open Mic Night - Sunday, May 21 HEY YHS! On Sunday, May 21st a group of AP Spanish students is hosting an open mic night to raise money for an organization called "Mano en Mano" which creates scholarships for underprivileged latino students currently living in Maine (http://www.manomaine.org/). All are welcome and encouraged to come perform and help raise money for a good cause!
