Hamilton & Laverdiere won XC races & Yarmouth Soccer Teams won States! Hello Clipper Fans! Abby Hamilton won the Class B State Championship XC race and had the fastest time of the day in any class! Anneka Murrin finished 4th, Grace Cowles 10th, and the team finished 2nd overall! Luke Laverdiere won the Class B State Championships XC race! Indoor Track meeting Hey everyone! There will be an Indoor Track meeting during second lunch Wednesday in Room 110 (Mrs. Sanders' room). Anyone who is planning on doing indoor this winter or is interested in being part of the team should stop by. We'll be putting together the email list and discussing when our first captain's practice should be. Indoor track is a lot of fun, and it's a great way to train for spring sports! Extra curricular eligibility Hello YHS Students, Please be reminded that quarter 1 ends on Friday, November 4th and the eligibility report is due out the following Thursday, November 10th. If students are ineligible at this point they may not regain eligibility until Tuesday, December 13th. Eligibility is based on quarter 1 grades, cornerstones do not impact eligibility. This eligibility check point impacts any students participating on Winter sports in addition to all other extra-curricular activities. The actual eligibility policy for your reference in the text below: Eligibility Any student at Yarmouth High School is eligible to participate in interscholastic athletics if he/she meets the eligibility requirements as established by the MPA and Yarmouth High School. 1. Be enrolled in at least five full courses; and 2. Pass all courses in which he/she is enrolled during the quarter. An incomplete grade will be considered as a failure until it is made up and a grade is given. It should be noted that a student failing one course or receiving one incomplete grade may not participate in games/performances, but is still expected to practice and abide by existing team and code rules and regulations. Students failing two courses or having two incompletes, or any combination which equals two or more cannot participate in games/performances or practices. Ineligibility begins the day report cards are distributed to students. Eligibility will be reinstated on the date published for the distribution of mid-term reports. Nordic dry land This week we will be starting Nordic dry land training! Our first practice will be Monday after school. It will be a very low key practice as most of us are just coming out of a fall sport. Bring sneakers and clothes for an indoor workout! I hope to see you all there! Think snow!!


Interested in playing basketball this year? Hey potential basketball players of YHS, To anyone who is considering playing basketball this year, we will be meeting in the gym after school starting this Thursday for the next two weeks to play some pick up and to start getting ready for tryouts.
