Yearbooks on sale all this week All this week during first and second break we will be selling yearbooks in the hall outside the Cafeteria! Yearbooks cost $55 dollars this week. After this week, the price rises to $60. Please make checks out to "YHS Yearbook"


Boys Lax players: Students who are new to Yarmouth or thinking about playing lacrosse for the first time this season should email Mr. Pearl. There is an opportunity to order discounted team helmets and gloves.This order must be in by next Monday. I will send you the information.


Athletic Update Hello YHS Students, Faculty & Coaches, The Fall season is coming to a close and playoffs are on the horizon! I wanted to share some highlights of our teams who are having fantastic seasons to date. The Girls XC Team is running well led by Senior stand-out Abby Hamilton, who has set several course records this season and has the current fastest time of any runner in the State headed into the Regional and State Meet. The Girls team are certainly one of the teams to watch and plan to defend their State Title later this month. The Boys XC team is also having a great season led by Junior Luke Laverdiere who has broken several course records and won the Boys race last weekend at the Festival of Champions. The boys team is very competitive and is excited to make a great showing heading into the post season races. *Both XC teams will run at Poland on Friday the 7th! The Field hockey team is currently 3rd in the heals with a record of 8-4 and will play Kennebunk this afternoon on the turf at 5:00! Please come down to the turf to support the team and celebrate our Seniors! The Football Team is currently 3-2 #3 in Crabtree Standings, the team will host Spruce Mountain Friday Night at 7:00! The Golf Team ended the season 10-2 and qualified for the State meet at Natanis (Vassalboro) this Saturday at 10:00! Additionally, Ethan Haag and Celia Clarke qualified as individuals and will compete next weekend in the individual State competition. Sailing Team is having a great Fall season, winning 3 regattas so far and the team is doing well! Girls Soccer is currently #1 in the Heals and Undefeated thus far with a record of 10-0-1, the girls are playing some great soccer. Please join the team tomorrow night here at home at 7:00 as they host Wells for a Breast Cancer Awareness Game. Donations will be taken at the gate for the American Cancer Society. The team defeated South Portland last night 3-0 to earn Coach Jim Senecal his 100th career win! Volleyball is on the road at Cape tomorrow before hosting rival Falmouth next Tuesday at 6:00. Community Service Opportunity this Friday, 10/7 On Friday, 10/7, a bus will be taking up to 20 students from YHS to help during the United Way Day of Student Service. You will be earning community service hours for your time as well as being well fed!! Below is the link to the sign up sheet as well as a description of the different volunteering locations. Please read the description of each location before deciding where you would like to volunteer. Flu clinic is today The student FLU clinic is TODAY. Your advisor will tell you what time to go to the gym. I won't have time to seek you out if you do not show. You will have to get your flu shot elsewhere if you don't come to the gym at your scheduled time. After you get the shot you will wait for 10 minutes and then return to class.
