Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would first like to welcome Tina Snow to Yarmouth High School as our new main office administrative assistant. Please remember that if your child is absent or will be dismissed from school, our front office staff would appreciate it if you could call first thing in the morning.
Next, we have now reached the midpoint of the first quarter and your student’s progress report will available on PowerSchool this Wednesday. Teachers will post comments about your child’s work this year that can be accessed with the following link. Please take the time to review this information, as it is important to not only start off the school year on a positive note, but also to develop strong work habits for the rest of the year.
Please remember that the Influenza Vaccination Clinic will be held this Monday, October 7th.
A quick reminder that there is no school on Friday October 11th as our faculty will be attending professional development workshops, and there will be no school on Monday, October 14th in recognition of the holiday.
Next week we will NOT have a late arrival schedule for all students in grades 9-11. On Wednesday, October 16, all 9th grade students will be participating in a Geology field trip to Portland Head Light and will report to the YPAC auditorium at 8 am. All 10th and 11th grade students will be participating in PSAT Exams. In order to start the exams at 8 am, we are asking all 10th and 11th students to report to their testing rooms at 7:50 am. Following the exam, students will report to periods 4 and 5 after a break for lunch.
Blue Jean Ball - YEF (Yarmouth Education Foundation) is hosting the annual Blue Jean Ball fundraiser on October 19th at the AMVETS Hall. The event is a fun night out benefiting Yarmouth students in grades K-12. Please visit www.yarmoutheducationfoundation.org for more details.
